Well, who saw this coming? For our November monthly poll we asked users to vote for their favorite Christopher Nolan movie. “The Dark Knight” nearly doubled second place contender “Inception’s” score.

“The Dark Knight” received 37.5% of the votes while “Inception” received 16.67%. Third place was a tie between “Memeto” and “The Prestige” at 12.5% while his new film “Interstellar” made the fifth place slot at 8.33%.

Some critics proclaimed “Interstellar” to be his best film. Well there are four other movies that beg to differ.

Keep making movies Mr. Nolan, we’ll keep watching.

SideNote: Managing Expectations

The most peculiar thing about “Interstellar” coming out hasn’t been its lukewarm 73% on Rotten Tomatoes or that it came up short to “Big Hero 6” in the box office over it’s opening weekend, it’s the apologetic reaction from fans of director Christopher Nolan, most of which defended the film even before its release.

Preview: The Potential of “Interstellar”

inter16Preview: The Potential of “Interstellar”

“Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.”  That’s the tagline for Christopher Nolan’s next film “Interstellar.” Under Nolan’s direction we have seen some great work. He redefined a world renowned modern myth with the Batman franchise, he advocated practical effects in “Inception,” and he played mind games with the audience with “The Prestige” and “Memento.”That’s a pretty impressive resumé. So it isn’t doubtful that his next film should be one to watch out for.

“Interstellar” sports a wide-ranged cast of acting veterans, including Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway, 2-time Oscar winner Michael Caine, 2-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain, all lead by last year’s lead actor Oscar winner – Matthew McConaughey.
