SN: Charlie Chaplin’s speech in “The Great Dictator”

“The Great Dictator” is one of the greatest films of all time. Period.

You talk about an era when verbal dialogue was heard for the first time in film. Many silent movie stars didn’t survive the transition, but Chaplin, he uses the new branch of the medium to deliver a profound and important message to a world at war.

This is why I love movies.
