The next big award show is the Primetime Emmys. It is still very early to predict these accurately, but we think we are narrowing in on many categories.

The final season of “Mad Men” should cause a stir, while new shows like “Better Call Saul” and “The Last Man on Earth” could potentially breakthrough. Not to mention the return of “Game of Thrones,” “Mad Men,” and “Modern Family.”

  1. Wait, so… are you ignoring the new rule changes with the “60 minutes = drama and 30 minutes = comedy” thing? Or are you assuming shows like Shameless and OITNB will appeal?

    • I will likely modify them to support the 30m-comedy rule. At least for OITNB and Shameless. I expect both to appeal and I can see the appeal going well since the Emmys have previously placed both shows in Comedy. So they’re kind of placeholders for now, but if both are pushed to drama it’s unlikely either shows will be nearly as present as they are in the comedy categories (I believe the respective networks are considering this as well).
